It's amazing how being stuck in your apartment for two days can really get you thinking about the necessities in life and these things- when covered in 20 inches of snow and ice- tend to be items that err on the side of the functional, rather than the fabulous. Forget heels, wool coats and berets- it's time for snow boots, down coats that cover you from your head to your shins and furry hoods so thick your only option is looking down at your hideously adorned feet whilst trudging through the snow in a sad attempt to go fetch some milk. So, in the spirt of functionality I thought I'd celebrate a company that adds a bit of pretty where pretty is seldom found. Beautifying the most banal items, Pretty Useful Inc. adds a touch of glamour to everything from screwdrivers and scissors to garden hoes. These handsome gadgets remind us all that a bit of whimsy and cheer can be found, even beneath two feet of snow!
